The priority fields of technology development in Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park

Currently Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) is where gathers many domestic and foreign companies operating in the field of high technology investment to build the plant, including most notably Japan's Nidec $ 1 billion investment in manufacturing of optical scanners, audio-visual equipment; US chip giant Intel has also been licensed to invest $ 1 billion in 2006 for the manufacture and assembly of computer chips. Besides the French Air Liquide Group, the leading provider in the field of industrial gases, healthcare and the environment is also present in order to produce and provide pure air with high reliability to serve the gas market industrial and medical gases in South Vietnam.

Operating in some high-tech sectors in SHTP received much development priorities and support the High Corporate Income tax, which businesses in this area will be receiving tax rate of 0% in 4 years since the first year of taxable income.

The list of sectors and high-tech product development priorities are defined in detail in the Decision No 66/2014 / QD-TTg dated 11/25/2014 of the Prime Minister. For high-tech and high-tech products are not in the list attached to this decision but under urgent circumstances to serve the needs of economic development - society, the Ministry of Science and Technology chaired and coordinate with ministries, ministerial-level agencies related to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision
