On October 23, during the 24th-anniversary celebration of the Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) (October 24, 2002 – October 24, 2026), the SHTP Management Board signed cooperation agreements with strategic partners in the fields of high-tech infrastructure development, green energy, training, and applied research.

According to the SHTP Management Board, the park is currently home to 165 investors. This includes 57 foreign-invested (FDI) projects with a total capital exceeding 11 billion USD, and 108 domestic projects with a total investment of over 74.29 trillion VND.
The successful attraction of high-tech projects from major corporations—such as Intel (USA), Nidec (Japan), Samsung (South Korea), Nipro (Japan), Datalogic (Italy), Sanofi (France), and Schneider Electric (France)—along with SHTP’s membership in international scientific and technological associations like IASP, ASPA, and SEMI, has helped place Ho Chi Minh City—and Vietnam as a whole—on the global high-tech map.

Scientific and technological activities at SHTP are structured around four strategic pillars within its innovation ecosystem: the Research and Development Center, which serves as a bridge between research, business, and production; and the High-Tech Business Incubator, which acts as a cradle for technology startups. The High-Tech Park Training Center serves as a hub for human resource development, while the Biotechnology Center acts as a pioneer in key fields such as gene technology, biopharmaceuticals, and regenerative medicine.
During the anniversary ceremony, the SHTP Management Board signed a partnership agreement with Becamex Investment and Industrial Development Corporation (Becamex IDC Corp). This collaboration aims to establish a strategic direction for research and the development of a network of high-tech parks across the city, integrated with innovation corridors and spaces dedicated to high-tech industrial growth.
The partnership focuses on infrastructure planning and development, the study of mechanisms and policies to attract investment, and the strengthening of ties between education, research, technology development, and manufacturing. It also seeks to foster the development of a high-quality workforce and an innovation ecosystem.
Additionally, the SHTP Management Board has entered into a partnership with VinaCapital Group to develop green energy infrastructure and essential technical facilities to support SHTP’s operations. This collaboration encompasses research into clean energy solutions, renewable energy, Direct Power Purchase Agreements (DPPA), energy storage, improved energy efficiency, and the digitalization of energy management.
