On the afternoon of May 11, a delegation of the Central Propaganda Department led by Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia visited and worked at the Hi-Tech Park of Ho Chi Minh City on the implementation of the Resolution. Speaking at the meeting, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia assessed that Ho Chi Minh City's Hi-Tech Park is one of the leading places in science and technology, with efforts to mobilize internal and external resources. country, especially mobilizing a team of strong knowledge, implementing innovation to promote socio-economic development in the city and the whole country.
"This helps us approach science and technology in the region and in some fields reach the international level," said the head of the Central Propaganda Department.
In the coming time, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia noted, the Hi-Tech Park must determine a breakthrough stage, and must choose a key field for development. That is focusing on the field of electronics, semiconductor ICs, chips that the whole world is interested in.
The head of the Central Propaganda Department also emphasized that attracting intellectuals in the current conditions is a very difficult field, so it is necessary to build a breakthrough policy mechanism, promoting the strength of Vietnamese cultural values ​​with the innovative spirit. The policy of training and supporting talents in the future must be further promoted, especially for foreign experts who wish to contribute to Vietnam.

Previously, reporting at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi - Head of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park said that, after more than 20 years of establishment, construction and development, the Hi-Tech Park has deployed synchronously 7 functional subdivisions according to the master plan approved by the Prime Minister, creating a favorable environment to attract investment in hi-tech development.
The Hi-Tech Park has attracted 160 projects, including 70 hi-tech production projects, 19 hi-tech service projects, 19 research and development projects (R&D); 23 high-tech supporting industry projects… Among 51 FDI projects, there are world famous high-tech corporations such as: Intel, Jabil (USA), Nidec, Nipro, NTT (Japan), Samsung (US), Nidec, Nipro, NTT (Japan). Korea), Datalogic (Italy)...

Up to now, the number of foreign science and technology experts and overseas Vietnamese experts working in enterprises here is more than 570 people. In which, more than 20 overseas Vietnamese experts have returned to work as collaborators at 3 scientific non-business units in the area and 5 experts under the policy mechanism to attract experts and scientists to the field. city ​​area in need.
According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi, besides the important results of attracting investment, contributing to the import-export turnover of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country, it is important that the Hi-Tech Park has formed the A strong industry ecosystem and science and technology infrastructures serve as a premise for the next stage of development with a focus on developing endogenous capacity.
